Rhapsode (the app) collects and stores the following data when you create an account:
WHAT WE COLLECT:
- Email address (for login purposes)
- Saved poems (poems you add to your collection)
- Progress data (your memorization progress, stages completed, hints used)
- Achievements earned
HOW WE USE IT:
- To provide the service and save your progress
- To sync your data across devices
- To display your achievements
- To generate anonymous community statistics (such as "Popular This Week" and trending poems)
COMMUNITY STATISTICS:
- We track which poems are saved and practiced by users
- This data is aggregated and anonymized to show community trends
- Your individual activity is never publicly displayed or linked to your identity
- Example: "Saved by 142 users this week" - we do not show WHO saved it
HOW WE STORE IT:
- Your data is stored securely using Supabase (a cloud database provider)
- We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties
- We do not use your data for advertising
YOUR RIGHTS:
- You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings
- Account deletion is immediate and permanent
- Anonymized aggregate data may remain in community statistics after deletion
COOKIES:
- We use browser localStorage to cache data for performance
- No tracking cookies are used
AGE REQUIREMENT:
You must be 13 years or older to create an account.
By creating an account, you consent to this data collection and data storage, and you affirm that you are at least 13 years of age.
